Calculation of prices for design documentation (DD) is based on the “Reference book of basic prices for development of design documentation for customized equipment” issued in 1998 by GP “TsENTRINVESTproekt” by the Ministry of Land Policy and Construction of Russia and CJSC “PromtransNIIproekt”, and enacted as agreed with the Committee of the RF for machine building on 14.10.96 No. 8/3-4-271.

This reference book is recommended for determination of basic prices for subsequent forming of contract prices for development of design documentation for customized equipment (DDCE).

Which expenses are included in the price?

Prices include expenses on the following:

  • design supervision;

  • compliance assessment of text document;

  • compliance assessment of drawing;

  • process inspection;

  • comparison of copy with original.

Prices do not include:

  • expenses on business trips;
  • research and development works;
  • participation in testing, correction of DDCE for prototype samples.
  • Classification of works according to complexity and novelty.
  • Products or projects for which design documentation development is necessary are divided into 6 complexity groups and 5 novelty groups.

Complexity is determined according to one of the following features:

Характеристика групп сложности

  • Functional description of the product. This feature can be used to classify development of DDCE on the whole;
  • Quantity of drawing sizes. This feature can be used to classify development of general arrangement drawings, lines, dimensional and mounting drawings, as well as part drawing;
  • Quantity of parts included in an assembly drawing. This feature is used to classify an assembly drawing;
  • Quantity of diagram elements. This feature is used to classify electric, hydraulic, pneumatic and kinetic diagrams.

Determination of basic price for design documentation development.

A basic price of design documentation development is determined separately for each type of DDCE of the corresponding development stage using the formula:

Pb = P × Kl × Ks × Kc × Kst × Ksh, where

Pb – basic price of development of the corresponding DDCE type;

P – price of DDCE development (Table 1);

Kl – coefficient of product labour intensity (Tables 2-8);

Ks – coefficient for drawing size (Table 9);

Kc – coefficient for specific conditions of DDCE execution (Table 10);

Kst – coefficient of DDCE development stadiality (Table 11);

Ksh – coefficient of drawings (sheets), lines of text of the corresponding DDCE type.
